KONE has announced the acquisition of Heilbronn company ATH Aufzüge, a southern-Germany-based elevator manufacturer with 44 employees and 1,200 completed systems, effective July 1. The acquisition is a step for KONE as it strengthens its presence in southern Germany. In accordance with the strategic orientation, the manufacture, as well as the maintenance and service business, will continue to be managed under the ATH Elevators brand. KONE brings its extensive experience and network to continue the company’s growth and expand existing business areas. Thomas Elser will continue to manage the company. Kay Graupe, previously regional sales manager at KONE, and Sascha Seiß, director of mergers and acquisitions DACH at KONE, have been appointed as additional managing directors of ATH Aufzüge, which was founded in 2004. The principles of quality, service orientation and individual solutions will continue to be the pillars of the company, according to the release.
