KONE Announces Executive Board Changes

Berkling

Axel Berkling has been appointed executive vice president (VP), Commercial & Operations. He will continue to be part of the KONE Executive Board, reporting to Henrik Ehrnrooth, president and CEO, for the time being. Berkling succeeds Hugues Delval, who has decided to leave KONE to pursue other opportunities. Delval had served as a member of KONE’s Executive Board since 2017. Berkling, who joined the Executive Board in 2016, will continue leading the strategy and transformation organization until a successor has been appointed. A KONE employee since 1998, he has previously served as executive VP, Central and North Europe, 2021–2023; executive VP, Asia-Pacific, 2016–2021; managing director, KONE Germany, 2012–2016; and in various regional commercial roles from 2007 to 2012.
