The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) awarded KONE an “A” for action for climate and environmental transparency. Data reported through CDP’s 2024 Climate Change questionnaire showed that KONE is among the few companies out of 25,000 surveyed to earn an “A.” KONE’s climate pledge committed the company to a 50% reduction in emissions compared to 2018 and to being carbon neutral by 2030. In 2024, KONE saw a 29% reduction in absolute emissions from its own operations and a 12.8% reduction in scope 3 emissions compared to 2018. KONE was the first company in the industry to achieve global carbon neutral manufacturing, 18 months ahead of schedule.
