KONE announced on December 10 the launch of its High-Rise MiniSpaceTM DX elevator in Southeast Asia. The launch is described by KONE as a timely prelude to the company’s Rise strategy, which it will implement in Southeast Asia from 2025-2030 to bolster growth and profitability in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Featuring the latest sensor technology and ultra-compact machine-room requirements, the KONE High-Rise MiniSpace DX elevator boasts high speed and large capacity. Its travel height is at least 60 floors, and it is capable of cutting energy usage by up to 30% on a typical day. The elevator comes with KONE UltraRope®, which is 80% lighter than traditional steel rope and three times more durable. KONE’s Rise strategy represents four strategic shifts from its current strategy. These include accelerating digital, intelligent technology; focusing on modernizing current infrastructure; penetrating the residential building market; and cutting carbon by utilizing energy-efficient technologies and sustainable materials.
