KONE Taps Kirby as Contract Manager, Cross River Rail

KONE has tapped Liam Kirby as contract manager for Cross River Rail, an AUD5.4 billion (US$4 billion) project of the Queensland, Australia, government to build a new, 10.2-km rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills. Described as Queensland’s highest-priority infrastructure investment, Cross River Rail also includes a 5.9-km twin tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. A lawyer, Kirby comes to KONE from community housing provider SGCH. He previously served as legal counsel for KONE, based in the Sydney area, for more than seven years, starting in 2014. In announcing his new position on LinkedIn, Kirby was welcomed back to KONE and to Queensland by colleagues. Kirby holds a bachelor of laws degree from Bond University in Robina, Queensland.
