KONE announced on January 9 it was awarded a comprehensive vertical-transportation (VT) contract by Chinese foreign-investment firm Peninsula Bay Investment Co., Ltd., to provide a suite of People Flow® solutions to Peninsula Integrated Resort in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Aimed to attract both foreign tourists and businesses upon opening in 2026, the beachfront development will be served by 38 N MonoSpace®, two S MonoSpace, 57 N MiniSpaceTM, 10 MiniSpace high-speed and one TranSysTM DX heavy duty elevators. Twenty TravelMasterTM 110 commercial escalators along with the KONE E-LinkTM monitoring system will also be installed. KONE will handle manufacturing, while installation and maintenance will be carried out by one of its local distributors, Octech Electric Co. Ltd.
