Holland Partner Group, a company that owns the site of Seattle’s Elephant Super Car Wash, has filed with the city to launch building of a residential high rise, K5 reports. It’s been almost a year and a half since the car wash was demolished at Denny Way and 7th Avenue in downtown Seattle. The site-owning company has filed paperwork with the city to build a 45-story residential high rise on the lot. Under the plan, the 440-ft tower would include five levels below grade as well as more than 230 on-site parking spaces. With a site covering only 15,451 ft2, plans for the property are still in their infancy, and preparation is needed before construction can begin. Architecture firm Weber Thompson is set to design the structure. The company has worked with Holland before, including on the 40-story Kiara tower, which houses 461 apartments and retail space in a glassy structure.
