Largest Independent VT Company in NYC, TEI Group, Takes on Southeast

TEI Group, the largest independent vertical-transportation (VT) company in the NYC metropolitan area, in March announced its expansion into the U.S. Southeast with the opening of Florida headquarters in Tampa. Chad Posey, who has 25 years’ VT industry experience in Florida, will lead the effort as executive vice president (EVP), Southeastern Region. The move comes in the wake of great growth, TEI observes. When TEI Group President Mark Gregorio joined the company in 1994, it had 12 employees and annual volume of approximately US$3 million. After he and partners John Fichera (retired) and Michael J. Straub (EVP of Operations) bought the company in 1999, it began to flourish. Today, it has volume of more than US$150 million in the NYC metropolitan market. Posey said TEI’s core values of safety, quality and integrity promise to drive growth in Florida.
