Lift Emotion Addresses Challenges With Refit Model

Lift Emotion (ELEVATOR WORLD Cover Story, November 2015) has addressed the challenge of integrating an elevator into an existing yacht by developing a specialized refit lift model, a lightweight lift system that occupies less space, SuperYacht Times reports. This solution eliminates the need for shipyards to excavate a deep pit beneath the elevator, as Lift Emotion typically requires only a 150-mm clearance below the floating floor. This approach streamlines the integration process and minimizes disruptions to the yacht’s existing structure. In the event of a power failure, the elevators are equipped with a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that lowers the lift one level and opens the doors, allowing passengers to exit the elevator without delay. An integrated emergency phone system allows for direct communication with the bridge or watch-keeping room in case of emergencies. In case of malfunction, Lift Emotion’s elevators are equipped with an emergency lowering and lifting function, enabling the crew to rescue passengers. Lift Emotion’s technology enables remote monitoring upon the client’s request. In the event of a concern, Lift Emotion can remotely resolve issues or assist a client’s on-site engineers, even when the vessel is at sea.
