Longtime Elevator Professional Releases Motivational Book in India

Vivek Puranik, a U.S.-based author who has more than 27 years’ experience in the elevator industry, has released the book “Feathers On My Wings” in India, geared toward “preparing young executives globally to compete on equal footing with those in developed countries and across the world.” Puranik is currently director of global key accounts for Wittur USA Inc., a division of Wittur Group, the Germany-headquartered supplier of components for lifts, elevators, doors, engines and lift cars. A published poet who is passionate about mentoring young talent, Puranik has been with Wittur nearly 12 years, holding management roles in the U.S. and India. Prior to joining Wittur, he held management positions in Bahrain with divisions of Mitsubishi Electric. Beginning his career as a senior engineer with Otis in Tamil Nadu, India, Puranik holds an MS in management systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India and a degree in engineering from Kuvempu University in Karnataka, India.
