Luxury extends to the elevators Fujitec America Inc. provided at 130 William Street, a 66-story residential tower designed by Sir David Ajaye in the Financial District of NYC. Fujitec Senior Project Manager Stephanie Cardoso recently told ELEVATOR WORLD that the high-end Adjaye-designed cabs feature marble side panels with oxidized bronze binders, black-mirrored back panels and stone flooring. Fujitec provided three passenger traction and one service hydraulic elevator to the 800-ft-tall property, which New York YIMBY said in late 2021 was getting final exterior touches ahead of an expected early 2022 opening. The main concrete tower features arched openings that are emulated in the northern entrance along Fulton Street and the landscaped courtyard along William Street. Prices range from US$1.3 million to tens of millions of dollars for expansive units such as ones designed in collaboration with luxury automaker Aston Martin. Serving 62 landings, the Fujitec elevators have capacity of 2500-3500 lb and travel at up to 1,400 ft/min. They are equipped with a Fujitec destination-dispatch system.
