Man Rescued From Fallen Elevator In Columbus, Ohio

A state official riding an elevator was trapped inside when the unit fell about six stories before stopping inside the Rhodes Tower government tower in Columbus, Ohio, on February 1, 10 WBNS was among sources to report. The elevator inside the 41-story building suddenly fell but stopped on the 12th floor. Officials with the Columbus Division of Fire arrived at the building, the tallest in the city, and were able to rescue the rider out of the elevator about 5 p.m. He suffered no injuries. Building-care staff were investigating to find out what caused the fall, tower staff said.
