Marshall University will replace the elevators at the Marshall Student Center (MSC) by December 2025, The Oracle reports. The announcement comes as one of the elevators was completely shut off after the motor “blew up,” according to MSC Director Matthew Marshall. There are four elevators at the MSC; three are passenger elevators, and one is a service elevator used by staff only. The first two elevators will be replaced in the fall, followed by the service elevator in summer 2025. The fourth elevator will be replaced during fall 2025. Funds for the new equipment will come from the MSC’s budget and reserves.
