Rotterdam, Netherland-based architecture and urban design practice MVRDV has won the competition to design two structures within the Tianfu Software Park in Chengdu, China, ArchDaily reports. One of the structures is a 150-m-tall tower that acts as a centerpiece to the entire campus. The other is a four-story Cultural center featuring an art museum, conference hall, library and exhibition space. Developed by Chengdu High-Tech Investment Group, the project will be home to companies focused on developing 5G, AI, big data and other technologies. The development aligns with Chegdu’s government’s “park city initiative” that incorporates green elements into buildings. The proposed tower boasts a lush cascading garden, and the cultural center features a green roof.
