The Indian Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is set to complete the modernization work of Nagpur Railway Station, a key hub under Central Railway’s Nagpur Division, in Maharashtra, India, by the end of 2026, the Deccan Herald reports. The work being executed by RLDA began in 2022 and involves the restoration of the heritage building of the station that was built in 1925. The Nagpur Station handles 283 trains daily, with an average footfall of more than 68,000 passengers, which RLDA hopes to increase with the completion of the modernization project. Upon completion, the station will be a benchmark for the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, ensuring seamless connectivity, world-class facilities and an accessible environment, said RLDA.
