Construction has begun for the US$5-billion One Beverly Hills development from Cain International in Los Angeles, California, Urbanize reports. Located west of the Waldorf Astoria and Beverly Hilton hotels, the project will involve a renovation of the latter hotel, as well as the new construction of a 10-story, 78-suite Aman hotel with a 100,000-ft2 private club; approximately 30,000 ft2 of commercial space; subterranean parking for 1,900 vehicles; and up to 200 luxury condominiums. One Beverly Hills calls for the construction of 26- and 32-story towers that will be the tallest structures in Beverly Hills when complete. Approximately eight acres of the 17.5-acre site will be given over to a botanical garden. More than half of the garden space will be made publicly accessible, with walking paths and water features for visitors. The first Aman-branded tower is on track for completion in 2027, and Cain International previously indicated the full project is set to open by 2028.
