The New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM) plans to host an “Office-to-Residential Conversions” seminar on June 25 from 3:30-5 p.m. at Butcher & Banker on the vault level at 481 8th Avenue in NYC. The seminar will be followed by a happy hour from 5-7 p.m. Robert Holbrook, executive director of “Get Stuff Built” for the City of New York Mayor’s Office of Planning and Policy, will be the presenter, and a panel will include William T. Payne of Payne Engineering, P.C.; and Michael Wolfe, an industry veteran and condo board consultant. Cost for the combined seminar and happy hour is US$40 for NYARM members and US$60 for nonmembers. Those planning to attend should RSVP to NYARM Executive Director Margie Russell at email. “Conversions will require both simple and invasive infrastructure upgrades,” NYARM observes. “‘Soft conversions’ will require training building service workers and nuanced changes in management services. All of these issues are of concern to building managers, owners, engineers, architects and developers.”
