The construction company for 241 West 28th Street in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood has topped out the 22-story two-tower project and has begun work on the residential building’s exterior, New York YIMBY reports. The project, developed by MAG Partners, Atalaya, Safanad, and Qualitas, stands 235 ft tall and will offer 400,000 ft2 of space for 480 residential units, 30% of which will be provided for low- and middle-income households. Work has progressed rapidly since the earlier report, with reinforced concrete reaching its pinnacle and work shifting to window installation and assembly of the walls. The project will offer about 8,500 ft2 of ground-floor retail space, and amenities will include lounges, a fitness center, a children’s playroom and an outdoor lounge with a swimming pool. The general contractor is Urban Atelier Group, design is by COOKFOX and the elevators are by Fujitec America. Construction completion is expected in July 2023.
