Otis Celebrates “We Are Many Voices” Diversity Month

Otis announced on October 3 it is celebrating its global “We Are Many Voices” month throughout October to focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. In recognition of Global Diversity Awareness Month, Otis’ approximately 68,000 employees will take part in “events and engage in meaningful conversations about purpose and courage, mental health and wellbeing, generational awareness and more to recognize our diversity, foster the inclusive environment to which we aspire and identify more where more can be done.” The OEM’s “We Are Many Voices” month is part of its “Our Commitment to Change” global social justice initiative launched in 2020. Otis also plans to launch its inaugural self-ID campaign, “Free to be Me,” which will ask colleagues in 40 countries to self-identify across categories including race, gender and other categories in compliance with local legal requirements. The results, Otis says, will “help us build new meaningful programs, policies and partnerships.”
