Otis Elevators Integrate With Delivery Robot at Polish Hotel

At the Imperiall Resort & MediSpa on Poland’s Baltic coast, guests receive deliveries to their rooms via a robot that integrates with the hotel’s elevators using Otis’ Integrated Dispatch^TM (OID) technology. Representing the first OID installation in Poland, the system allows the Keenon W3 delivery robot to place a call and enter and exit an elevator autonomously. In addition to delivering restaurant orders and items such as fresh towels to guest rooms, the robot can also escort guests to their rooms and provide information about hotel amenities and local activities. OID is an application programming interface solution that integrates autonomous service robots with Otis elevators. “The combination of Internet of Things and our expertise opens up new opportunities for customers and passengers alike,” Otis Service Branch Manager Poland North Maciej Pichlak said.
