Otis recently highlighted the vertical-transportation (VT) system it provided in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, at Tashkent City Mall. For client Hyper Partners, Otis provided 51 elevators, 25 escalators and four moving walks that are now in service at the 245,000-m2 complex, recently recognized as Uzbekistan’s Best Multifunctional Project in the 2022-2023 Asia Pacific Property Awards. In addition to the shopping mall, the property contains a hotel, apartments and an office building, all with a design that reflects nature and Uzbekistan’s rich heritage. Office elevators benefit from Otis’ Compass® 360 destination-dispatch system powered by SmartGroupingTM technology to essentially halve the wait and travel times of traditional systems.
