Otis Korea Completes Two Major Modernizations in Seoul

Otis Elevator Korea announced on October 7 it completed two major elevator modernizations in Seoul, South Korea: The 45-story Gangnam Financial Center (GFC) and the 30-story Seoul Finance Center, both owned by GIC Pvt. Ltd. and managed by CBRE. Otis Korea began work in 2021 and delivered the projects — which also include five-year maintenance contracts — this year. Including eight underground floors, GFC is served by 32 Otis elevators (including 16 high-speed units) and 10 escalators from other manufacturers. Otis Korea modernized all vertical-transportation (VT) equipment. At Seoul Finance Center, which also includes eight underground floors, Otis Korea modernized a 30-unit Otis VT system that includes 16 high-speed elevators, 10 low- to mid-speed elevators and four escalators.
