Otis was awarded a comprehensive modernization contract that includes 16 elevators serving the JPMorgan Chase building at 560 Mission Street in San Francisco, Otis President, Chair and CEO Judy Marks said on an earnings call in January. Completed in 2002, the 31-story minimalist office tower wrapped in black steel was designed by César Pelli and has been described by the SF Gate as “an outdoor slip of manicured heaven” accented by terraces, bamboo groves and potted maples. The modernization includes installation of custom cab interiors and the Otis Compass® 360 destination-dispatch system. In addition, Otis was awarded the maintenance contract for the tower, “extending our relationship with CommonWealth Partners and contributing to our service recaptures in the (4th) quarter (2023),” Marks said.
