Residential Tower Proposed for Buffalo Hotel Property

In Buffalo, New York, Stinson Hospitality Real Estate is proposing a 20-story condominium building to sit alongside the Buffalo Grand Hotel on the hotel’s property, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat reports. The proposed building would reach 250 ft and would be built on an L-shaped parking lot that wraps around the back of the former Adam’s Mark Hotel. Stinson originally proposed converting the top floors of the hotel, about 200 rooms, into condominiums, but regulatory challenges made that a non-viable option. The new building could contain some hotel components, as well, as part of the continued repositioning of the existing hotel property. To move forward, the proposed residential building would need to be approved by the city and the state’s attorney general. Construction could begin in summer 2022 at the earliest.
