Russell

Timothy Russell has transitioned from architectural design manager at Lerch Bates Inc. (LB) to associate principal, vertical transportation (VT), at Buro Happold, Russell announced recently. He is based in the NYC metropolitan area, where in 1998 Buro Happold opened its first U.S. office. Russell’s position at the company involves consulting, integrating and designing VT solutions globally. Prior to his new role, Russell spent nearly six years at Lerch Bates, an experience he describes as “life-changing.” Based in NYC, Russell worked with teams across the world while at LB. He previously was a Schindler project manager, overseeing VT projects in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Toronto. Russell was a combat engineer with the U.S. Army, and holds master’s degrees in architecture and public administration from the University of Oklahoma and Webster University, respectively, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, fire prevention and safety technology from West Texas A&M University.
