Schindler has partnered with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and the Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) to establish a localization program that will source, assemble and commission selected elevator components for various regional development projects of the Ministry of Housing in Egypt. AOI and TMG will establish a facility where Schindler will assemble and commission the elevators. Once the facility is established, Schindler will provide technical knowledge and management and will assemble and install elevators in various future national developments of the Ministry of Housing. The agreement is expected to cover the supply of up to 5,000 units per annum over a period of up to 10 years and to create significant local employment with professional certification, enhancing the skill set of the local technical workforce.
