Schindler has expanded its accredited, American Institute of Architects (AIA)-certified continuing education (CE) courses covering elevator, escalator and moving walk applications, as well as the environmental and sustainable aspects of design. The courses are accredited for traditional AIA learning units (LU) or health, safety and welfare (HSW) units, contributing to AIA members’ annual CE requirements. Schindler’s latest courses include Intro to Elevators, Escalators and Moving Walks covering the basics of designing and planning buildings with elevators, escalators and moving walks, appropriate applications and environmental and sustainable development; and Moving Walk Applications covering horizontal, vertical and outdoor moving walk applications, including safe operation and usage, as well as environmental and sustainable development. Each course provides 1.5 LU/HSW. With these new courses, Schindler now offers eight AIA-approved courses for CE.
