Schmersal Names Bogusch As Logistics Industry Manager

Schmersal, a designer of safety switchgear devices, has announced Marcel Bogusch as industry manager for the company’s logistics solutions, officials say. Bogusch, already with the Schmersal Group in the company’s logistics division, will now help lead the firm’s efforts to further expand its market presence in this promising industry, and to increase turnover and growth. Bogusch was previously a product manager responsible for the launch of safe robot systems and new control system generations. His position has included solid technical competence in all matters relating to the Machinery Directive. Schmersal, of Wuppertal, Germany, has offered a comprehensive range of safety switchgear devices and complete logistics solutions with carefully coordinated safety components. This allows the company’s safety solutions to be adapted to a wide range of applications in the logistics field. Among its application-specific challenges in logistics are extensive systems that require intelligent networking concepts and high rates of turnover on failsafe performance of systems.
