SES Acquires McIntosh Industries Inc.

Memphis, Tennessee-based Standard Elevator Systems (SES), which manufactures and provides products and solutions for elevators, escalators and moving walks, announced on June 23 it has acquired McIntosh Industries Inc., a Hillside, New Jersey-based company specializing in rebuilding, repair and service of elevator motors and machines. The existing McIntosh team, led by Peter McIntosh Sr. and Peter McIntosh Jr., will remain in place. McIntosh Industries founder and co-owner McIntosh Sr. said his team “looks forward to building upon the relationships and legacy built over the past 30 years.” Maven Group, LLC, facilitated the deal on behalf of McIntosh Industries. SES CEO Sterrett Lloyd said the company becomes a key part of SES’s technical and field services business, and “underscores our commitment to continued growth, diversification and service to the growing technical and specialized needs of the elevator and escalator industry, all under one roof.”
