Snapped Elevator Cable Creates Scare at Indian Hospital

A snapped elevator cable created a scare for the 12 occupants of a passenger elevator at Chengalpattu Government Hospital in Tamil Nadu, India, on November 24, but all were unharmed, DT Next is among outlets to report. Involving doctors, nurses and other hospital staff, the incident happened at approximately 4:30 p.m. when the elevator fell from the third to ground floor “with force.” The source said this is the fourth such incident to occur at an area hospital, and local police are investigating.
