Solar Panel System in China Signifies TKE ESG Milestone

TK Elevator (TKE) recently announced its manufacturing facility in Zhongshan, China, achieved a major environmental, social and governance (ESG) milestone with the installation of a large rooftop solar panel system. Energy generated by the system supplies more than 40% of the facility’s total needed power. Based on successful implementation, TKE plans to expand the initiative to its other key China manufacturing facility in Songjiang near Shanghai. That system is expected to provide approximately 30% of the property’s needed energy. “These installations highlight our continued pledge to reduce carbon emissions and provide sustainable mobility options,” TKE stated.
