Standard Elevator Systems Announces Changes at the Top

Standard Elevator Systems (SES) named two new leaders: CEO Sterrett Lloyd and Chief Operating Officer Dave Schneider. In addition, Jimmy He has become chairman of the board. All positions became effective on April 4. Lloyd has vast experience in the elevator industry, starting in the field, then working as a contractor for both OEMs and independents. Before joining SES, Lloyd was CEO of Draka EHC, where he spent 20 years building the company from a local cable manufacturer into a global leader. Schneider comes from the public corporate sector, where he held positions of increasing responsibility at 3M, Dell and Emerson. Most recently, Schneider was president of Emerson Automation Solutions, where he ran a global actuation solutions business serving the oil and gas industry. SES consists of Elevator Equipment Corp., EMI-Porta, LiftNet, Texacone and ZZIPCO. In a letter to employees, He said he, Lloyd and Schneider “want to reassure you that our focus on our customers and our mission to offer ‘solutions for the field’ will not change. Our focus on developing our employees will continue to evolve. . .Our company will thrive with great teams.”
