Three-Year-Old Boy Dies Falling From Escalator Handrail

On January 14, a three-year-old boy died after falling from an escalator handrail in a mall in Delhi, India, NDTV reports. A police officer said that the boy was with a group of women and children who went to the mall to see a movie. “While the adults were busy buying tickets, the boy wandered near an escalator. Eyewitnesses report that the child attempted to slide along the handrail but lost his balance and fell from a height,” said the officer. The boy was declared dead upon arrival at a local hospital.
