Titan Elevators Signs Menopause Workplace Pledge

Titan Elevators announced it has signed the U.K.’s Menopause Workplace Pledge. Designed to support women through a demanding stage of their life, the pledge ensures women experiencing menopause are adequately supported by creating a safe space to speak and by providing suitable changes to their working arrangements. Run by the Wellbeing of Women charity, the initiative aims to encourage employers to take positive action toward protecting female employees. This is likely a result of the 900,000 women who have left employment due to the debilitating symptoms that menopause can cause. It is hoped that the pledge can promote open dialogue surrounding menopause and remove the stigma often associated with it. So far, more than 1,700 employers have signed the pledge and 93% of those businesses, when surveyed, stated that signing the pledge had driven positive change in their working environments. Adjustments can include ensuring there is suitable ventilation within an office space, as well as providing extra water points for hydration. Titan Elevators said it aims to ensure all female employees throughout its offices and workshops feel supported and heard and has provided more education for its employees about menopause.
