On July 10, TK Elevator (TKE) highlighted its role as the “sole mobility provider” for Qatar’s Lusail Stadium, which hosted the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM in December 2022. The OEM provided and installed 45 machine-room-less (MRL) elevators to serve the venue’s maximum 80,000-capacity crowd. TKE observed the MRL units were designed to match the ambiance of the Foster + Partners-designed stadium, and that its products are “the mobility brand of choice for a wide range of applications, ranging from high-capacity event facilities and transportation hubs,” towers of various heights, shopping malls to office buildings. “Beyond the stadium, we also ensured safe and efficient journeys for the hundreds of thousands of football fans who arrived in Qatar for the matches,” TKE said. “From the minute they stepped onto the passenger boarding bridge at Qatar Hamad International Airport to the moment they emerged from the metro system escalators, our mobility units delivered them seamlessly from one point to the next.”
