TKE Installs Fastest Elevators in Western Canada

TKE manufactured and installed the fastest elevators in western Canada at the 729-ft-tall, 60-story Telus Sky in Calgary. The trio of residential elevators travel at up to 1,600 ft/min and are part of a 17-elevator order for the mixed-use tower, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Telus Corp. and 7th Avenue Sky Partnership. Installation was completed in December 2020. TKE observes it supports many of Calgary’s high-rise commercial and residential towers, including Brookfield Place East, the city’s tallest building, and West Village Towers A and B, which will be completed later in 2021 and become Calgary’s tallest residential mixed-use development at more than 42 floors.
