TK Elevator (TKE) announced on October 20 it has become a national sponsor of the ACE Mentor Program of America, a free afterschool program that helps high school students pursue careers in architecture, construction and engineering at more than 70 locations throughout the U.S. “The commitment aligns with TKE’s longstanding goal of supporting STEM [science, technology, engineering and math] students and encouraging interest in the elevator industry,” observed TKE, which noted it has already hosted numerous student tours of its Innovation and Qualification Center (IQC) at its new North American headquarters at The Battery Atlanta. As a Cornerstone-level ACE partner, TKE will help maintain the program’s infrastructure, programs and visibility. “This life-changing program teaches high school students about the entire process of designing and building a project,” TKE North America Chief Human Resources Officer Shari Lotz said. “We are excited to help these passionate leaders of tomorrow in their professional development.”
