Among mixed-use towers on the drawing board in Sydney, Australia, are a 24-story structure in the red-hot Chatswood area and a potential 58-story building on Pitt Street in the CBD, The Urban Developer reports. In Chatswood, the New South Wales government greenlit a design by AJC Architects for a development by Truslan Group and Changfa Group with 84 residences atop a commercial podium. Rich with amenities and targeting a 5 Green Star rating, the project would join numerous other towers containing “hundreds of apartments” nearby. Developers are expected to submit the project for final approval in early 2023. In the CBD, developers ICD Property and Belingbak have launched a design competition for an up-to 58-story tower at 372-382A Pitt Street. At least five architectural teams, including players from Woods Bagot and Bates Smart, have thrown their hats into the ring.
