TÜV SÜD Showcases Digital Predictive-Maintenance Lift Service at Germany Event

Joachim Birnthaler, CEO of the TÜV SÜD Real Estate & Infrastructure Division

TÜV SÜD will showcase its Lift Manager digital predictive-maintenance service leveraging TÜV SÜD’s lift domain and digital expertise and Bosch.IO lift sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) platform to support customers’ lift operation and maintenance during the Expo Real tradeshow on October 4-6 in Munich, Germany. Presented to a wider audience for the first time, the service optimizes operating overheads and lift system availability. The new end-to-end IoT solution complements classic lift management schemes. It uses sensors to record all key operating data, provides information on lift usage patterns and makes accurate failure predictions for individual lift components. On this basis, predictive-maintenance works can be planned and organized, resulting in reduced lift downtime. Lift Manager is part of TÜV SÜD’s overarching efforts to help the real-estate industry address “ever-growing sustainability requirements that bring fundamental change in their wake.”
