Passengers using Bradford Forster Square station in Bradford, West Yorkshire, U.K., are now once again able to make use of the station’s lift, Rail Advent reports. The lift was deemed unsafe after it was damaged during storms in April; water leaks caused the ropes, pulleys and doors to need to be replaced. Network Rail brought in a specialist contractor to carry out the work and complete all safety checks. The railway station serves Bradford and is also set to have several other key improvement projects, including a new platform and other key upgrades, taking place over the coming year due to an investment from the government.
