Vantage Elevator Solutions, headquartered in Bronx, NYC, has been awarded the elevator modernization package for American International Plaza, a 16-story, 534,764-ft2 office tower built in 1991 in San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Financial District, Hato Rey. The project was awarded by Sky High Elevator/Cruz Moya Elevator Consultants. Including a sister building, the project at 250 Muñoz Riviera will utilize GALaxy 4 controllers with destination dispatch for two six-car groups, including dual 10-ft kiosks on every floor. Hollister-Whitney gearless machines will replace all 16 elevator machines, while GAL door-monitoring equipment will be installed for all cars and landings. Vantage fixtures designed and manufactured by MAD Elevator of Mississauga, Canada — including kiosk touch screens — were selected. The project is slated for completion in summer 2023. — reported by Vantage Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Dan Baltzegar
