Wallen Appointed MD of Hydroware as Germany Takes Precedence

Wallen

Sweden-based Hyrdoware GmbH announced that David Wallen, with an impressive track record in the German lift market, has been appointed managing director (MD), effective in March. Wallen succeeds Volker Hager, whom Hydroware thanked for his contributions over the past seven years in shaping the company. With an academic background in mechatronics, Wallen began his career with other companies in the early 2000s as an on-site installer for new lifts before moving on to assembly foreman, and later, sales engineer. In the latter half of the 2010s, Wallen transitioned to leadership roles, serving as sales director, regional manager and, most recently, international key account manager. Wallen spent his entire professional life in the German lift industry and has closely followed Hydroware’s journey. “Joining Hydroware at this particular moment feels incredibly exciting and inspiring — not only to be part of the expansion into the traction lift market but also to contribute to the company’s continued focus on the German market,” Wallen said.
