Woman Dies in Escalator Fall at Music Concert in Denver

A 49-year-old woman died falling from an escalator on July 30 at the end of a Kenny Chesney country music concert at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, outlets including Denver ABC 7 reported. According to the Denver Police Department, the woman was sitting on the escalator railing when she fell to the concourse below, dying of multiple blunt-force injuries. The death is being investigated as accidental. Chesney said he was “devastated” and expressed deep condolences to the woman’s loved ones, TODAY reported. Stadium management is communicating with Denver police as they investigate the incident.
