BUILDING OWNERS AND MANAGERS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL (BOMA INTERNATIONAL)

Founded in 1907, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International is an international federation of more than 90 local associations and affiliated organizations. BOMA’s 19,000-plus members own or manage more than 9 billion square feet of commercial properties in North America and abroad. The mission of BOMA International is to enhance the human, intellectual and physical assets of the commercial real estate industry.


ELEVATOR CONFERENCE OF NEW YORK (ECNY)

ECNY was organized by elevator industry professionals to improve education, promote safety and enhance code compliance through better communication. Our purpose is to improve the flow of information among tradesmen in the field of vertical transportation. ECNY is open to all active elevator professionals.


INSTITUTE OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS, INC. (IEEE)

The IEEE produces a large portion of the world’s literature in the electrical and electronics engineering and control technology fields, and has developed more than 900 active consensus standards. The organization also sponsors or cosponsors more than 300 international technical conferences each year.


INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL (ICC)

The International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. Most U.S. cities, counties and states that adopt codes choose the International Codes developed by the International Code Council.


JOINT APPRENTICE AND TRAINING COMMITTEE AND THE JOINT EMPLOYMENT OFFICE OF THE ELEVATOR INDUSTRY

Established in 1956 as Joint Trust Agreements between the elevator industry association, inc. and L/U #3, IBEW (EE Division) for the purpose of education, apprenticeship and safety training, and employment services for L/U #3, IBEW (EE Division) members in the NY Metropolitan Area.


MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATOR SAFETY ASSOCIATION (MESA)

MESA, established in 1954, as a nonprofit association, is comprised of industry professionals. Our purpose is to promote public safety in the usage of all vertical transportation, meet to exchange ideas which will result in a better understanding within the elevator industry, review laws and changes pertaining to elevator codes.


NATIONAL ELEVATOR INDUSTRY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM (NEIEP)

NEIEP was established in 1967 by Joint Agreement of the NEII and the IUEC for the purpose of providing an exclusive program for educating and training elevator constructor mechanics and helpers.


NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF BUILDING SCIENCES (NIBS)

The National Institute of Building Sciences, authorized by Congress in 1974, is a nonprofit nongovernmental organization that brings together representatives of government, the professions, industry, labor and consumer interests to identify and resolve building process and facility performance problems. The Institute serves as an authoritative source of advice for both the private and public sectors with respect to the use of building science and technology.


THE CENTER FOR CONSTRUCTION RESEARCH AND TRAINING (CPWR)

CPWR focuses on safety and health in construction and related economics issues. CPWR is the research, development, and training arm of the Building and Construction Trades Department of the AFL-CIO.


Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA)

The Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) is an active group of elevator enthusiasts in tune with the changes & developments within the Canadian vertical lift industry with members from all regions of Canada – Eastern, Central and Western, as well as international. CECA members are engaged in all levels of government in areas including: Labour Relations, CSA, Harmonization, Industry Advisory, Industry Working Relationships, Apprenticeship, Education and much more!
