BUILDING OWNERS AND MANAGERS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL (BOMA INTERNATIONAL)

NATIONAL ELECTRICAL MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION (NEMA)

NEMA is the leading trade association in the U.S. representing the interests of electroindustry manufacturers. Founded in 1926 and headquartered near Washington, DC, its 430 member companies manufacture products used in the generation, transmission and distribution, control, and end-use of electricity. THE CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS INSTITUTE (CSI)

CSI was founded in 1948 to address the need for a common system of presenting and organizing construction documents. Today, more than 18,000 construction professionals are devoted to improving communication by formulating construction document standards, writing and producing technical documents, conducting educational programs and product shows.

ELEVATOR CONFERENCE OF NEW YORK (ECNY)

ECNY was organized by elevator industry professionals to improve education, promote safety and enhance code compliance through better communication. Our purpose is to improve the flow of information among tradesmen in the field of vertical transportation. ECNY is open to all active elevator professionals.

BOMI INSTITUTE (BOMI)

The BOMI Institute, established in 1970, offers three education programs: the Real Property Administrator (RPA), the Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA) and the Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) programs. AMERICAN COUNCIL OF ENGINEERING COMPANIES (ACEC)

ACEC is the business association of America’s engineering industry, representing independent engineering companies throughout the United States engaged in the study, design and development of environmental, water resources, industrial, transportation and other programs throughout the world. COUNCIL ON VERTICAL URBANISM (CVU)

Established to study and report on all aspects of planning, design, construction and operation of tall buildings. Concerned with the role of tall buildings in the urban environment and encouragement of the use of the latest knowledge in their implementation.

ELEVATOR CONTRACTORS OF AMERICA (ECA)

The only national elevator industry labor organization in the United States to unite the independent contractor to negotiate a contract applicable to the Independent. Dedicated to the proposition that mutual respect between ECA members and labor represented by the International Union of Elevator Constructors is critical to developing positive joint initiatives for the union and our members.

Elevator Association of Minnesota (EAM)

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (ASME)/A17 COMMITTEE

Associations

The ASME A17 Elevator and Escalator Committee develops safety codes and standards for elevators, escalators and related equipment. ASME also develops other codes and standards, publishes technical journals and conducts educational programs in the mechanical engineering field.
