In Memoriam: Ray Carl Burch

Ray Carl Burch

Ray Carl Burch, a valued member of the Vantage family, passed away on August 10 after a prolonged illness. A resident of Nashville, Tennessee, Burch was 58. Burch had been a member of Vantage’s engineering technical support team since 2011 and was beloved by his colleagues. He was a longstanding member of the National Association of Elevator Contractors and, locally, served two terms as councilman with the Metropolitan Nashville Government. Survivors include parents, Roy Perry Burch, Sr., and Jean Hollis Burch; wife, Kim; children, Lindsey, Kayla, Lexie and Carson; siblings, Debbie and Roy; a grandson; and many other family members, friends and colleagues. “[Burch] was a legend in the industry who put his heart and soul into his work,” Vantage Vice President of Product Engineering James Varon said. “The industry won’t be the same without him, and he will be greatly missed.”
