A hotel tower under construction at 305 West 48th Street in NYC’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood is nearing completion, New York YIMBY reported. The 27-story, 303-ft-tall building, designed by Gene Kaufman Architects and developed by Bright Management, will bring 211 hotel rooms to the site, which is a brief walk from Times Square and the Theater District. The tower, being developed by Maddd Equities and Joy Construction, stands atop a brick podium that features four-story-tall arches and will serve as the hotel’s main entrance. The building totals 73,000 ft2, with 59,000 ft2 set for guest rooms. The building’s vertical-transportation contractor is G-Tech Elevators of Linden, New Jersey. No formal completion date has been announced, but the source said it appears to be set to open in the first half of this year.
