The Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) announced that three students have been awarded a CAN$2,500 (US$1,778.50) scholarship for the coming school year. Andria Mary Joseph, child of Joseph Antony (Delta Elevator), of Toronto, Ontario, and Emery Robinson, child of Keelan Robinson (University of Toronto), of Bradford, Ontario, received general studies scholarships. The Walter Guderian Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Landon Olech, child of Sheldon Olech (Regina Elevator), of Ituna, Saskatchewan. This award is for the pursuit of a career in the elevator industry. Recipients will be able to use their scholarship at any recognized educational institute in Canada.
