Miami-based developer Crescent Heights received some good news earlier in May when Los Angeles City Planning granted approval for 1045 Olive, a 70-story tower first proposed in late 2016, Livabl reports. The project calls for 794 residential units, including studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. The building would include about 12,500 ft2 of ground-floor restaurant and retail space, and 15 levels of parking would accommodate 891 vehicles. The plan now moves on to the City Council for final approval, which would mean another high-rise residential development for the city’s South Park neighborhood. At a height of 810 ft, the building would be the tallest residential tower in Los Angeles and the fourth tallest overall. Its location at West 11th and South Olive streets would put residents within a 10-min walk of the Pico Metro station, served by both the A and E lines. Site clearing and construction can begin shortly after City Council approval.
