thyssenkrupp has been selected by Azienda Trasporti Milanesi and Azienda Napoletana Mobilita (ANM) to maintain 585 units in metro stations in Milan and Naples, Italy, respectively. The multiyear contracts cover 237 elevators and 115 escalators in 60 Milan stations, and 83 elevators and 150 escalators in more than 23 Naples stations. The latest contracts build on thyssenkrupp’s existing relationship with Italian metro systems, including a recently awarded contract to supply, install and provide maintenance for mobility systems in metro Line C in Rome, the longest in Italy. Omar Riva, thyssenkrupp Elevator Italia Sales manager, observed:

“We are able to guarantee time-saving interventions by solving malfunctions within 15 min. of our arrival onsite, which translates to more than 98% system efficiency. These results are thanks to our highly qualified technicians, who have over 3,700 hr. in operational training and over 2,000 hr. in safety training.”
